YUTA SHIMIZU was born in Japan. He graduated the St.Petersburg Conservatory on the specialty of Operatic-Symphonic conducting in 2014(class: prof. Nikolai Alexeev and Alexander Polischuk). Futuremore, he has studied with the late Kurt Masur, Yuri Simonov, Name Jarvi, Genadi Rojdesvenski, Jorma Panula.
He is laureate of international conducting competition; won awards at the V Conducting Competition- Jeunesess Musicales Bucharest(2014).
In 2019, he debuted in St.Petersburg philharmonic orchestra(ASO), where is his home city since graduation of St,Petersburg state conservatory.
He has engaged with Yakutsku Philharmonic as principal guest conductor since 2020 season.
Yuta Shimizu has conducted following orchestras in the world:
Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra(Primorsky stage), Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Rostov Philharmonic Orchestra, Yakutsku Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo New City Orchestra, Aurora Symphony Orchestra(Sweden), Russia state Natinal chorus named after Sveshinikov, etc. He has also been making his career in operatic feeld as well since he debuted with G.Verdi’s “La Traviata” in Opera-Ballet Thatre(St.Petersburg).
